The JREF Censored by YouTube?

Editorial

It's been brought to my attention that the James Randi Educational Foundation's account has been suspended by YouTube.

There are no details as of yet, but it appears that it is a direct act of censorship. We need you to act!

Many of you may not even be familiar with the JREF, so here is some background taken from a small section of their entry on the Wikipedia [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JREF ]:

An Open Letter to Alisha, Lover of the Crystal Skull

MILK Oscar Nomination

Costume Design

I just got word -- WAY late, because I'm an awful person and don't pay attention to these things myself -- that the fabulously talented Costume Designer, Danny Glicker [ IMDB ], has been nominated for his work on Milk!

It was already  a privilege to work on the project, let alone to work with my friend Danny. But now Danny's recognition for this work takes it to a whole new level. Congratulations Danny, and thanks for letting me contribute my small part to your big vision. Good luck!

BILL! Rude Fan Club

Fan Club/ Prank

Since SES just ended a couple of weeks ago, questions have arisen and I thought Id take the time to formally explain the BILL! Rude Fan Club (BRFC):

I did not start the BRFC. It started out as a prank when I was working in Minneapolis in 2005. A group of people made shirts with my face on them. There was then a demand for more, and I helped roll it into an online store where you can buy BRFC merchandise and 100% of the profits get donated to the Minneapolis College of Art + Design's pre-college high school program: Summer Expressions Sessions [ http://www.mcad.edu/ses/ ].

Rain in LA

It is raining like balls outside right now. Total downpour. It is ironic, because the telephones in our neighborhood had already gone out today due to 'severe weather', even though it has been completely clear and dry for a week now.

Last week we did get quite a bit of rain. Really becomes a bitch when I'm trying to drive back from my current office in Baldwin Park (HQ of INO). It's 20 miles of chaos when it rains. It's normally fine because I'm driving against traffic, coming and going. Benefit of working outside the city.

Sketching in Chatsworth

 www.sketchbooksessions.com

Last night, Rick and I went all the way out to Chatsworth to partake in the 3rd Anniversary of 'Sketchbook Sessions '. It is a little group of people who converge on a single place for one night out of the month to get together and draw. The main draw for me to attend was actually catching up with an old college friend, Kir, who is a founding member.
